Ongoing seroma
Has anyone else had issues with a seroma ? When I first had a double mastectomy, my right side needed syringing for quite a few months. Years later, when doing a lot of DIY, I felt pain there and thought the worse, but it turned out to be another seroma. It slowly lessened but I seem to have one again now. Would this be to…

Sorry if TMI but genital pain with chemo...
Currently undergoing 4 dose dense AC and cannot find anyone else mentioning this side effect maybe due to intimate nature? My genital area is inflamed and feels swollen and sore. It's painful. Surely I am not alone with this side effect? Does anyone have experience with it and how long till it becomes less painful?…

Shock, denial, anger - cant imagine how I can move towards acceptance. Newly Dx. Initially was stage 2, then told stage 3 and now looking at stage 4 with lung mets. What the! This roller coaster is insane and I want to get off. Found a lump 8 weeks ago, took a month to get into my rural GP, another 2 week wait for scans…

World Childless Week - this week
Many people are childless and, whilst some never wanted them in the first place, some really did but it was not to be. This story appeared on my ABC feed on Monday. Personally, I empathized with the gentleman whose story also appeared. "Why don't you just adopt? You can have one of mine! At least you get to sleep-in… When…

Struggling with Negative Emotions
Good morning, I am new to the forum so apologies if this subject has been discussed previously. I had a double mastectomy in March 2024. Breast Cancer is so prevalent in my family, but all other family members have only needed a lumpectomy, not a double mastectomy. I'm not belittling their experience, but I feel I don't…

Questions to ask 'Post Surgery' of yourself - to your Specialists - Tick Sheets - Self assessment
I know that after my own surgery, I didn't always quite know what questions to ask of my surgeon and 'the team' that we all see regularly for the first 5 years following our treatment - so I set about looking for 'tick sheets' that would help me, as these appointments approached! I came across some really interesting…
