Hi. I was diagnosed with mbc in 2021. An MRI done of my hip (me thinking I needed a hip replacement) revealed a bone lesion and further scans showed I had lesions in my skull, breast bone and right shoulder blade. Radiation helped with the pain in my hip and I am now able to walk unaided. I have been on letrozole and…

Choosing to stop treatment
I was diagnosed with metastases in October last year and was given ~12 months. We tried Trodelvy but it was too hard on my body. Tried Eribulen but a recent CT scan showed it’s not working. my onc has said we could try liposomal doxyrubicin but I had a horrible time on doxorubicin last year. He estimates I have maybe 2 - 3…

Kisqali & Letrozole - thankful & fearful...
Hi, I was diagnosed 7 months ago with metastatic breast cancer and am very thankful for Kisqali and Letrozole (which is working!) having been clear for many years after an original diagnosis of lobular breast cancer. Whilst I am very fortunate to be able to get on with life I do fear what happens once the medication stops…

Dupuytren’s Contracture
hi everyone, this is my first post! I was diagnosed with MBC (de novo) in January 2018. Mets were found in my lungs, bones and brain. I completed chemo June 2018 and very happy with latest scans. Eights spots in lungs have disappeared, breast tumours have shrunk dramatically and no further changes to the brain met. (no one…

Little known sign of metastases
I was diagnosed with metastases in 2020, and I recently experienced a strange symptom, which I thought I'd mention here, as it's something that could be a red flag for anyone who is being monitored for recurrence of cancer. I recently started experiencing numbness down one side of my face, chin, lips and tongue. I'm told…

An amazing lady who has had BC Mets for 40 years ..... they want to know about her longevity!
How amazing is this woman? (BTW, This article is 6 years old now - and as at 2021, she was 85 and was still going strong.) Margaret “Peg” Geisler, has now been living with breast cancer for 40 years, and with metastatic disease for 36 of those years. Peg’s records showed she originally had breast cancer in 1978, it…

Trodelvy - any info to share?
Hi, I am reaching out to see if anyone else has commenced Trodelvy chemotherapy and if yes, what are your side effects experiences. I am only in 1st cycle, 2 weeks on/1 week off. Main reaction has been some insomnia and bad fatigue. Wondering about hair loss and at what stage, if anyone has experienced this? Does fatigue…

Hi everyone I recently went through some of my photos and marvelled at a photo on my phone that I had downloaded from the forum sometime ago. It was painted by Tracey_B I double checked with the Mods today and yes poor Tracey is no longer with us and they have respectfully given her a Dragonfly. Tracey was a good scout -…
