Had my last rad treatment today and couldn't be happier...skin is not good but so happy it is over. Another 2 weeks rest and hopefully can get back into the swing of things at work. Short shifts of course and taking my time. Would like to share a pic from the dreaded radiation room today. Got to put my thumb print on the…

Feeling lonely
I get that people don't know what to do or say. I know they probably feel like they have to give us space to deal with what's going on and I knew some people's reaction would be to pull away. But I'm still surprised at the lack of connection. Do we really live in a world where it is ok to just text your own family about…

Hair loss and regrowth
Hello all, just thought it might be interesting for people to see what happens in a year from hair falling out, to end of active treatment. I had 4 x AC, 12 x Taxol, then 25 x readiotherapy, Finishing in October 2017. The hairless photo was March 2016, the curly one was March 2017 (last week). I had straight hair with…

Trivia, how do you take your pills?
Probably a bit sad I know but pill taking is still kind of new to me since before I had breast cancer I thought you had to chew panadols, not swallow them whole. Now I take my Tamoxifen, half of a tiny 100mg aspro, two vitamin C tablets, a pro magnesium pill, and a vitamin D3 pill. I like to make a contest of it and see if…

Going it alone

Advice to make it through an event
So my son's graduation is tomorrow :) I am almost a week past my first chemo and suffering from diarrhoea and fatigue. I am following instructions to try to manage it all but I am worried that I won't be enough to get there for him. His was a tough road and that he persisted and is now a teacher is so special. I don't want…
