Thanks to iserbrown
Reading through a few pages I want to say big "thanks" to iserbrown for the quotes she has been posting. Whilst the quotes have been put there for specific ladies, iserbrown has no idea how much she is helping others who are looking on-line and feeling in need of that love ! Thank you, iserbrown. Hugs Summer :-)

Where to shop for comfy bras post re-construction
Just curious to see where people go for bras after having reconstruction? Im keen to get out of this zip up post surgery bra, but love the wide band that goes around my back to smooth out any bumps.

Cancer the Uninvited Guest
This week I was asked to speak at A Biggest Morning Tea fund Raiser for the Cancer Council. I tried to summarise how cancer impacts individuals in a way that everyone could understand. This is my version of cancer as the uninvited guest.

Finished chemo but.....

She can't feel any lumpy nodes and barely anything in my breast. Signs are good but I'm freaking out about the CT and seeing what's…

I don't know what I'm feeling
Hi I know I am extraordinarily lucky. My breast cancer was caught by my bi-annual mamagram thanks to BreastScreenSA. I have never been more tentative and scared while I did the whirlwind of a secondary scan, biopsy, etc. and then had to go back a few day's later for the results. I can still remember that the lady doing the…

That's done.
Since September I've been sliced, diced, poisoned, irradiated, jabbed, drugged and fried. Now I'm done. I still have to get rid of the portacath, but treatment finished yesterday. I've got appointments with the surgeon, lymphoedema nurse and my oncologist in the next two weeks, may have to have one more CT then I'm waving…

Tired with swollen lymph nodes
Still trying to get to the bottom of why I am so tired a year after chemo. I sleep 11 to 14 hours in every 24. My psychiatrist though it might be depression and put me on anti-depressants. A few months ago my GP did a gamut of blood tests and couldn't find anything there amiss either. For months the lymph nodes under my…
