Christmas Eve Greetings
Hello lovely people, The combination of Christmas preparations and navigating chemo got a bit hectic for me, but finally on Christmas Eve I'm catching my breath and able to enjoy it a little bit (also my feet are starting to work again and my sense of taste is hopefully coming back!). But it means I haven't been posting…

On Our Walks
A while back there was a lovely thread of sunrises that the early risers among us posted. I loved it, so I thought I'd broaden it to a thread for all the lovely sights we see as we do our slow staggers through chemo, or those walks we take after active treatment has finished and we're trying to get our strength and fitness…

Wearing a backpack post TRAM
Hi everyone, I've just had my TRAM procedure and am thinking about holidays. Does anyone here do multiday hikes with a pack? How long until you were back to hiking with a pack? I am day 4 post surgery so nothing is planned as yet, just wondering if I would get a hike in this winter. Hope you are all well and happy.

I have posted this link into the Carer's Group but think that not all who are on a Home Care Package are in the group .... so posting it here as well. This is for members who actively CARE for friends or relatives, too. It seems they are making MORE changes (after big changes were made last June as well) that you should be…

Fishing brag pics
There are a couple of us who are mad fishermen so here is a spot where you can put your fishing catch pics. I had a great night fishing off the beach last night. Nice when you brave the cold but get handsomely rewarded with fish.

A small price to pay
Losing your breast is a small price to pay for your life, joint pain and hot flushes from hormone therapy is a small price to pay, discomfort from the lumps and bumps because of previous radiation is a small price to pay, fear and anxiety that it will come back is a small price to pay, anxiety when traveling and your false…

Airport X-ray machines and a prosthesis
Recently had the experience of being pulled aside at an airport after my prosthesis showed up as an anomaly on an xray screening machine. I had to declare what it was and have different screening as well as drug screening. A little confronting on first travel after mastectomy. Anyone else had this experience or am I being…
