A small price to pay

Losing your breast is a small price to pay for your life, joint pain and hot flushes from hormone therapy is a small price to pay, discomfort from the lumps and bumps because of previous radiation is a small price to pay, fear and anxiety that it will come back is a small price to pay, anxiety when traveling and your false boob is picked up on the airport body scanners and how sensitively you’ll be treated is a small price to pay, reminded of it every day when you look at yourself in the mirror is a small price to pay. But don’t they all add up. I do feel lucky to be alive but some day’s more than others

Sure am very fortunate to be here and while I have had some difficult days I am grateful every single day.1
