What I wish I had understood 4 months ago.
I wish I had trusted that I would get knocked down but I would get up again. That my fears of chemo were real but exaggerated. Yes AC was tough but Paclitaxel less so. That I should just listen to my body and rest. Woolies online shopping was a godsend when energy was low. Have a project: I'm a family history nut and…

Newly diagnosed BC but I dont know stage and type
Hello BC loveley members First of all, I am in brisbane and had ultrasound, showing fibroadenoma 3cm size.Result was bit dodgy though, because my lump showed vascularity. Then I supposed to have a core biopsy as a precaution. I am public so I had to wait 2weeks to have biospy done. Problem is when I had biospy they did FNA…

Confused.
Evening all... so I have been through all the shitty tests/scans and waiting. I have had my right mastectomy with apparently clear margins. 6/14 nodes involved. After my mastectomy pathology a plan for 6 months of chemo was planned then more surgery, and oncologist specifically said no radiation was necessary. Today I…

Hello all I've just joined the network. This is my status. Lumpectomy after DCIS insitu highly invasive, nuclear high grade, too small to be able to get hormone readings. Yes, I'm lucky....sort of. I now need to make the decision of radiation or skin, nipple sparing mastectomy with no radiation or chemo at this stage.. And…

The good, the bad and the ugly of my cold cap journey
Dear everyone, I am two and a half months past my last cycle of chemotherapy so I though I will share my experience with the cold calp. I had 4 cycles of TC (20/11/18 to 23/01/19). I chose to do a neoadjuvant treatment and start with chemotherapy to allow genetic testing to happen and give me some time to think about the…

Reflux and shampoo for Cold Cap Chemo
I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer with lumpectomy in October but I'm having four treatments of cold cap chemo AC and was wondering whether the Nioxin shampoo was a good one to use while going through this? Also what's the best for Reflux? This is my first post, so thanks for reading. Cheers.

Invasive Metaplastic Carcinoma
I was diagnosed with an Invasive Metaplastic TNBC in Dec 2018, and had wide local excision & SNB performed January, with nodes clear and clear margins (though only just, on one side). Currently just had my 2nd chemo round (3-weekly TC x4), with 5 weeks radiotherapy to follow. Chemo has been relatively kind to me thus far,…
