Breaking news to others
I am newly diagnosed, an introvert, but have not told or UNABLE to tell family (siblings) or friends. I find it hard to break the news myself and just cannot quite even talk about it... Any recommendation for strategies and/or people/professionals (who get it) whom I can talk to and rehearse talking if possible. I have…

Stage 2/ grade 2 - is chemo required?
Hi all. I'm new here and just had my lumpectomy on 16/1/23. Reports mentioned 40mm tumour on right breast. Re-excision is required to obtain a clear margin and one lymph node is involved (has cancer) 🙁. Ki67 is 40%-50% and I'm ER+ and PR+. Oncologist mentioned I need chemo as one lymph node is involved however after…

I've…

Public vs private cost info
Hi everyone :) I was diagnosed with breast cancer on Dec 7 and had a lumpectomy through a private hospital on the 15th. It all happened very fast and I am new to Australia so was trying to get my head around the system, Medicare etc. I do have health insurance but I've been a bit surprised at the amount of out of pocket…

Diagnosis and breastfeeding
Hi all, I am very early in my journey. I'm 36 (regional Victoria) and currently breastfeeding my 4MO. I'm awaiting…

Suggestions for non wired bras for larger cup sizes
Hi everyone Does anyone have any suggestions for non-underwired bras for larger cup sizes? I had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and I’m currently in post-surgery bras. But interested to know what to get - once the breast is completely healed I guess. Being larger in the cup, I still need good support. Any ideas? Thank you :)

So annoyed
Had my lump and 2 lymph nodes removed mid year. Had radiation and now on letrolzole done ok on both. Chemo wasn't offered as must have it was a choice as hormone cancer been over treated. Oncologist plus a team of oncologist suggested oncotype test which I paid for and result came back low score so chemo would NOT benefit…
