Young one's
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with BC May 2011 at the age of 41. I was working 5 days a week & I had to take 12 months off work to have 4 & 1/2 months of chemo & radiation & it was horrible to loose all my hair. Was hard to take everything in. I had a lump removed, didn't loose the whole breast. It was so hard to deal with…

I have an occasional issue with one of my eyes slow to open when I wake up, it's only been happening since the towards the end of my chemo, I'm still having Herceptin, My oncologist doesn't think it's related and the optometrist said my eyes seem normal. Just thought I would ask if anyone else had this issue? Thank you…

Juicing
Juicing is a new adventure! For the first week after treatment I prefer soft foods - baby that I am! So I prepare soups and freeze them. Tim has started researching juicing. Today's speciality was Beetroot Slammers. Last time it was a fruit smoothie. And... chemo day I get flowers! Such a lucky girl. My man is so caring…

Operation: wash the (human hair) wig 4.0
Well the time has come around again to wash the wig. One Monday night when the mind was whirling from Dexmethsone I thought to myself I'll rinse the wig with the shower rose. So in the en-suite tonight I have the shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment and wash basin. Another Dexmethsone inspired thought, the wig is looking…

Pink Sports Day 2013
North Launceston Junior Football Club held a great event today- the Inaugural Mothers Day Cup game. The sun shined and the rain and wind stayed away. Chicken and Leek Soup -- Just like grandma's
The beauty of this recipe is that you have the soup base and add to it depending on whether you can simply tolerate a nutrient dense broth or a hearter soup. The soup base freezes really well, so you can always have some on hand. In my good week during chemo I would make a big batch for times when I didn't have the energy…
