Dr said lump was due to shaving and examined my breasts before and after marathon. Finally got around to mammogram before Christmas…

I have had 2 wide local excisions & 4 nodes removed following recent invasive lobular carcinoma diagnosis. Apart from usual tenderness & swelling, no complications. Last surgery was 12 days ago. Now waiting for appt with Radiation Oncologist to start radiation treatment. I booked a holiday to Darwin a year ago (soo…

breast conserving surgery or mastectomy
I am trying to work out which course to take i.e. breast conserving surgery or mastectomy. My Dr has indicated breast conserving would suffice however it appears from my reading that with breast conserving surgery there is a higher chance the cancer could comeback in the breast area.I'm almost 70 and am now leaning towards…

So out of control
Hi. I am new to this site and just as new to doing anything on-line! I have recently been diagnosed with HER2+ BC; have had lumpectomy & gone back for re-excision to get clear margins. I am told will likely need chemo, Herceptin & radiotherapy. I have oncologist appt Tuesday week and am struggling to keep myself together.…

Just diagnosed but cannot even contact a surgeon until 9th January. Stress levels high.
I received by biopsy results on Christmas Eve, stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. GREAT! I was given a referral which was marked urgent and sent to the surgeon and told to call them on 28th December. That was a wonderful Christmas period, NOT. But once I thought I could get the ball rolling I felt a bit better. I rang to…

Oestrogen Positive and early 40's
I'm looking for any other women out there that only have the ER+ breast cancer. I found a lump in November and have since had surgery and started chemo (4 x TC). Mine was stage 1 grade 2 and no nodes. I guess I'm looking for light at the end of tunnel.

My journey of B C
Hi everyone, I was formally diagnosed BC with multifocal invasive lobular carcinoma from biopsy 2 days before Christmas in 2016. I had lumpectomy and sentinel nodes biopsy 2 days before New Year. I recovered really well from the surgery. From the day I went to GP to check out a lump I felt on my breast to the surgery, it…

Decision time - lumpectomy or masectomy?
It's been quite a interesting three weeks or so for me. An inflamed breast, biopsy, inconclusive results, surgical biopsy and today a diagnosis of high grade intaductal carcinoma with prominent atropine change. No family history of breast cancer. Throughout this time, for whatever reason, I anticipated that it would be…

Its exhausting, all of the tests, fertility preservation went well yesterday, they managed to get 11 eggs! Ive got my fingers crossed that there will be some survivors out of this batch, I know I'm strong but I can't do that again...71 injections/cannulations to date. It's suppose to get easier right? Im still waiting for…

Hi to all you amazingly lovely ladies! Was reluctant to share my story but feel I need to even if it is just to rant for some relief! I was diagnosed 2nd Dec with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma grade 2 following a routine mammogram. What a whirlwind! I thought the Dr was talking to 'someone else'..I have had so many emotions…
