Reconstruction info
I’m new here! I was diagnosed in late November and went ahead with a double mastectomy just before Christmas. An overwhelming experience! There was no option at the time for immediate reconstruction for a few different reasons. I’m 51 years old. i have now been referred to the plastics team at Fiona Stanley and am trying…

Boob farewell?
I'm booked for surgery in 4 days for a unilateral mastectomy. I feel like I want to say farewell to the boob but am a little lost for ideas. On one hand, I want to say good riddance; on the other, it fed my children, gave partners entertainment and was a great, jiggly part of my life. I realise it's very…

I’m absolutely shocked and terrified. I’m HER positive. I’m having a PET scan done to confirm about bones and liver and told surgery is not an option…

An unexpected birthday surprise
Hi everyone, I have been on the journey for about a month now. I had no symptoms and given it was my 53rd birthday at the beginning of March, and the last checkup I had was just before I was 50, I thought I should get into healthy birthday habits and do all the checks. A week after my test I received the call to advise I…

Recently Diagnosed - So Many Questions
Hello ladies After going for normal mammogram, which I believed was completely routine as no lumps or signs etc, I got the call from my GP to come straight in and was told it wasn’t good news. Got in the next day for Ultrasound and Biopsies (1 core and 2 fine needle) and a few days later diagnosed with, at this stage,…
