Otis retreat
I've just had the privilege of spending 4 nights at an Otis Foundation house in Kioloa. After a very long 6 months, to be able to take a break like this between chemo and rads was just so special it's hard to describe. The first couple of days were warmish and humid, then it fairly bucketed down. Absolutely perfect. I…

Riduculous and frustrating! ***Rant warning***
I'm ten months post surgery, four months post chemo and finished rads at the end of May. My health has generally improved--I don't feel 'sick' any more, but I'm struggling with lymphedema in one 'foob', cording and scar tissue in my armpit, tendonitis and myalgia in both legs and feet and now lymphedema is setting up camp…

Hair Shampoo
Hey guys, I finished chemo in April and my hair is really coming in now. I haven't needed to wash it just using warm water as its not oily just quite fluffy. Would love to hear what shampoos others started off on their fresh baby hair. I'm quite aware of not using to many harmful ingredients.

Today was a litte different
After having a heavy head cold last Easter, I noticed that my hearing was very poor in my right ear. My G.P sent me to a ENT specialist and of course the anxiety set in . I have mets in my skull bone on the right side near my ear. The specialist was very kind and ensured me that it was just fluid built up behind the ear…

I am splitting my time…

Should we be talking about cancer?
This month I celebrated four years since the trip to BreastScreen that found triple negative cancer in my left breast. It's an important milestone for me. Unlike other forms of breast cancer, the risk of recurrence drops every year I stay cancer free, right up until year five when I'm actually at the same risk as everyone…
