Walking challenge
Walking (or jogging, running or hopping) is good for your body and brain. Thinking time, listening to music time, talking to a friend time. September may be a good time to start, if you need an incentive: From Medworld: https://medrecruit.medworld.com/articles/emergency-doctor-champions-fight-against-cancer-with-pedometers…

Stressing
I've just come from my appointment with GP, to get blood results. I've been feeling tired and put it down to getting COVID in March, it finally got me ☹️. But my main concern has been the tenderness in both armpits and at times feels very warm. This started before i got COVID. The blood test in June 2020 showed neutrophils…

Diet recommendations ER & PR positive.
I am ER 95% positive, PR 5% positive and HER-2 negative and am booked to have the lump removed next week. I don’t want to change my diet drastically but have been searching on foods I can eat or avoid to naturally block the ER. I will, of course, take whatever meds my surgeon recommends. I have, so far cut alcohol and…

Weight gain
Hi people does anyone have any tips, products, diets that work on moving belly fat. Since having a mastectomy I realise how much wait I’d gained around the middle and it’s getting bigger with meds I’m on. I’m having the other boob off later this year which will highlight it even more. Help 😳

Eyelashes/eyebrows
Has anyone permanently lost eyelashes and eyebrows? I’m three weeks past finishing Taxol and my hair is definitely coming back but the eyelashes/eyebrows are completely gone and don’t seem to be growing back. I’m starting to think I must have to accept they are gone for good

Tyrosine supplement for low thyroid
Hello all - I am 1.5 years clear of cancer ER, PR+. I stopped Tamoxifen after 1 year as the side effects were pretty bad for me. It’s scanxiety that finally pulled me down…
I found a lump in May 2021. In January 2022 I was finally diagnosed, after a single mastectomy, with triple negative metaplastic carcinoma. This is a rare breast cancer, with the worst prognosis of them all. I sailed through the mastectomy. I endured four cycles of TC, came out feeling terrible, but quickly recovered and…

5 years, all Clear - signed off with my surgeon yesterday
Travelled to Sydney in the stinking hot weather on Thurs (no aircon in the campervan!) and arrived at my cousin's place, like a grease spot on the floor! Great catching up with them again & also caught up with an ex flatmate I hadn't seen in decades & a squash buddy that I used to play with weekly ... hadn't seen him or…

Heart aflutter again.
I just spent the day in hospital with a heart flutter. I am on beta blockers, as it happened about March last year too. Not sure if it is my age or a follow on from the 2016 chemo but it is annoying to have what is basically 2 heart rhythms working against each other. The doc said a second rhythm can start and it says, 'I…
