@Fletch We have to laugh, don't we? I've had some very entertaining times during nights in ED over the past months. Take care.

I made the mistake of telling my daughter once I was having a quiet night in ICU - I was, observation only, I was fine and it was empty so they put me there - out of the way!  Daughter had small panic. I am not to do that again. Hope you are on the mend very soon.

The night after treatment is always a long one. After telling myself I was comfortable and would go back to sleep I finally got up with the clock reading 1:43am and my tastebuds telling me it wanted a hot chocolate. So up I get, make a racket in the kitchen and settle in with my yummy drink, warm slippers, woolly bathrobe and warm hat. Aargh, too hot. Take off slippers and hat, open bathrobe. Aaahhh, better...........ooooh, it is cold. Put on slippers, hat and tie up bathrobe. Much better. Wait, did someone turn on a heater somewhere? Take off slippers, hat and undo bathrobe. And so the night goes on! Hat is currently off, slippers on, bathrobe undone. I am waiting for whatever the next temperature is going to be. Looks like it might be a long night.

Kept falling asleep on the couch last night but was determined to stay up until after Media Watch (almost a reasonable time to go to bed).  But I've been tricked before!  And I badly needed a good night's sleep.  So, temazapam last night and I made it through until 5am.

Congrats on the appointment outcome @tigerbeth.  But not on your dad being ill.  We went through that early this year for my FIL and it's so hard to see them so weak.  I hope the outcome is peaceful and easy and that you get to spend some time with him.
