Hi mel51 If you have been unable to find relief, research Elshka. It is a bit messy to put on but it works for me. Extra bonus, it has helped tremendously with my lichen sclerosis.

Cath62 I know the shock. Mine was numbing but felt like an explosion had taken place inside of me. I don't have liver mets but the brain mets was a curveball. I was treated with the Gamma Knife Treatment at Peter Mac. Three rounds of zapping over three consecutive days for twenty five minutes each. That was a year ago and the brain mets has shrunk dramatically. Ask if you qualify. This machine is only in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Sending huge hugs and prayers as you navigate through this latest storm. My shock lasted until weeks after treatment. That was in June/July last year. 😢❤️

Koncon25 When you find that goat please let me know. I am on a lifetime subscription to chemo and would love to stop. However, until they find something better..... I just had one treatment off chemo due to a colonoscopy and polyp removal (unrelated to BC) and it has been nice to start feeling normal again but tomorrow I start back on due to my BC being very aggressive. Hang in there, the time goes quicker than you think. Get out and about when you feel like it and stock up on your home based hobbies for when going out is beyond doable. Craft, reading, television show catch up, jigsaws, puzzles. Cooking if you are up to it. Sending big hugs. We are here for you so please feel free to rant away. And remember, I get first dibs on your goat.

Coastiejas I was travelling the other day and was hungry but nothing appealed as I was having an emotional sad type of day. I picked up a punnet of Strawberries and halfway through I realised I was emotionally feeling great and was singing in the car. They are now my go-to if I feel down.

Re: Moving from private to public for follow up care?
I have been a public patient since the beginning in 2018. I have had no trouble with getting tests etc but hospital care is definitely different from one hospital to the next. I am in a wonderful hospital now and absolutely love my team. If you post the area you live in someone may be able to assist you with the type of cancer care you can expect to receive. Don't waste money you dont have when you dont need to. All the best

I had a bed cradle but didn't like it. My feet got cold as the blanket kept lifting. I tried a separate blanket but my feet still got cold. I now sleep with my feet on their side so there is no weight on them. At one stage I put thick socks and crocs on. Protected my toes but very odd to sleep.

@Vera1975 I did not have a recon even though my surgeon was keen. He explained the difference between the diep and an implant. Apparently the implant can feel cold and not part of you. A diep will hopefully connect and adapt well enough so that it is warm as it has your blood flowing through it and if the nerves take well, you will also have feeling. As I haven’t had either, this is second hand info. As @arpie says, the recon group will be able to assist you better. Sending big hugs. One step at a time.
