Awake till about 2 and then tossed and turned with horrible dreams that I got attacked and raped. One of the worst nights I have had in ages.0

Triple blah - I also had a shit night - but dragged the kayak out for a fish this morning & then lost my mobile phone overboard (I don't know how!! Somehow it worked it's own way out of my pocket & over the side! ) It was in a waterproof case - but it didn't last long underwater .....even tho only in about 2m of water ..... it is totally dead.
Not happy Jan!
I might go look for it on Thurs .... even if I can retrieve the sim card ... a lot of phone contacts should be on it ... the case was bright pink .... with a bit of luck - I should be able find it! grrr
I hope everyone has a better night tonight!0 -

Thanks @Flaneuse - in the salt water, methinks it would be totally cooked I did it with a camera once - it literally shat itself in front of me!! The flash was flashing & it was making a whirring sound ...... totally cooked! (That was on a fly fishing trip & I had it round my neck & bent over to retrieve something from the water! DUH!) I've always bought waterproof cameras since! LOL
Android, @SoldierCrab - a Samsung 5S (probably about 6-7 years old now - I had it for 4 years & had bought it 2nd hand.) Fingers crossed I can retrieve the Sim. I don't buy expensive new phones for just this reason!
Next one will live in a waterproof container that is tied to the yak!! It is a safety feature on the yak, having the phone, so don't feel comfortable not taking it with me.1 -
OK Android is good ..... do has Flaneuse said but first take it all apart dry off battery and carefully remove and dry the sim then put the back on and place in RICE for 24hrs put the battery on a sunny window sill and keep Sim in safe place.
you would be surprised how water proof samsung phones are.

Hooly Dooly - Hello lovely howlers! It seems I rarely get a chance to get on here now that work has rudely interrupted my routine. To be honest I am finding it quite a stretch. Here I am at 3am though - bright eyed and bushy tailed - at least I woke thinking of lovely memories of wonderful India with @kmakm
Typical me, I have this foundation status of finding it difficult to say no at work - I suppose it comes from a love of the job and of mathematics teaching particularly - but it is difficult being the maths co-ordinator of your school and only 'working' two days (those inverted commas are for 2 PAID days of work - I am working almost everyday to keep up). It seems I am being asked to do the impossible in the time that I have.
Yes Howlers, I need to say NO - I know. I started yesterday with my boss wanting re-distribute my teacher's assistant - that I only have for an hour. Anyone else tries to lob more on or take off what I need - watch out!
As for the little Yr 1/2 darlings that I am not used to teaching - I can report that I am still struggling to get the right delivery of language and expectation (I am so used to 10-12 year olds - 26 years of indoctrination), but I am enjoying my time with them more.

I am so depleted and exhausted and this lack of deep sleep, on top of extra demands is killing me. I saw a sleep remedy promotion on the counter of the chemist yesterday when I filled my damn Tamoxifen script - think I'll go back and have a closer inspection.
My body aches - especially ankles and knees. Have I got 5-10 years of this shit? That thought overwhelms me. After sitting for any period, I have to hobble about for a while before I have any resemblance of fluid movement. Is that normal on Tamoxifen? I have been taking it for about 6 months now. In the beginning I had very few side-effects, but in the last couple of months this aching has been driving me nuts and getting me down. I am so far off getting back into running - it seems like that is unachievable - considering I can't even walk. Seeing a physio - not helping...as yet.0
