    @Sister Are you eating some gut health foods? Anything fermented - kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso, kefir - is fantastic.

    Didn't take melatonin last night, but slept right through. Seems no rhyme nor reason to me sometimes. Either I am going to sleep well, or I am not....regardless of exercise, sleep enhancing medications, or any other variable. Think I'll just go with the flow. I'll keep taking melatonin for a bit, then might start experimenting without it. If I have lots of bad nights, go back on it again.

    Jelly snakes @kmakm.....I know there is this video about how they are made and if I watch it, apparently I won't want to eat jelly lollies anymore. well, that's easy...I won't watch!

    @kmakm,

    That sounds disgusting.  Apart from the fact that I have no idea what 4 out of the 5 of them are. Yuk, fermented food sounds like it would make you sick.  :p

    Yep @kezmusc About the only fermented food I'll consider is wine and beer. What? They aren't food? Oh well, there's no way I'm having any of that fungus tasting stuff that's supposed to be so good for me.

    Earlier this year in May, the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne held their Can-Sleep seminar on Improving Night-Time Sleep Problems for People with Cancer. This seminar was hosted by the Psychology Department at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.  Following the seminar, the Can-Sleep resource was updated and is now available.

    Can-Sleep: Making night-time sleep problems go away.  A guide for people with cancer.

    I don't go much on the fermented stuff, I'm afraid although I do think the yoghurt helps sometimes.  I've been slowly getting back into the walks but the gut issues give me problems with that as I do the duck waddle home!

    @Sister I've looked into gut health a bit. The med science world's been quite excited about it in the last few years as they've discovered that it's far more integral to whole body health that previously thought.

    Yoghurt's good but it's got to be the right sort and you have to eat it every day. As post-menopausal women on AIs we should be having four serves of low-fat dairy a day so I'm working it in as best I can.

    Low fat food is not good. It has been altered. Best to eat full fat, unadulterated food including full fat milk, cheese, butter.

    So 5 hours of sleep in a row is good right?  Actually based on the last few days it is just a shame I’ve been awake since 4

    think I’ve lost the hair in my left nostril as I have constant bloody nasal drip on that side only!  Very attractive when you’re out and about

    @sarnicad - I think 5 hours is good!

    No walkies for me this morning - pretty heavy hail has been falling.
