Three dimensional tissue engineering with biodegradable breast scaffolds post mastectomy
Hello all, The above is being researched by Queensland University Hospital with Prof Dietmar Hutmacher as the head. It will be a great alternative to breast implants as it replaced by regenerating tissue rather than replacing it. I am wondering if anyone is in the know about upcoming clinical trials? I noticed it in a…

Exciting research showing possible 'on/off' switch for Mets
Exciting research being done on an 'on/off' switch for BC Mets - let's hope this one makes it thru the trial stages. Given this study has produced results from a mouse model, the timeline for introduction at the clinical level for *successfully* approved drugs and testing is closer to 12-15 years. It should be noted that…

How quickly can a tumour show up between scans?
If I had a PET/CT back in early July that was clear, surely it would be almost impossible that a lump I can feel in my BC breast would be a new tumour? I know there was a FA in the same area of breast back in 2021 and 2022 when I was diagnosed and had 12 month scans (latest one in 2022 showed it had gotten smaller). I’ve…
