@Flaneuse, well that’s something but outrageous that you had to jump through hoops to get it. I’m in Sydney and at my local public hospital, parking was free everyday during Radiation. Since then, I don’t worry about getting an exit card for my monthly blood tests and results appointment as I’m in and out in under 15 mins for the test - so parking is free and unless the Clinic is running late, an hour parking is under $7, once a month which is manageable...Good luck xx

Since my family paid hundreds of dollars in parking fees across two deaths to cancer (in the public system), I have sworn, come the mega lotto win, I would 'buy' a hospital's parking and make it free. I hate that the suffering of others is regarded as a profit opportunity. I get that you need to cover costs, but over and above that is disgraceful.4

Having worked for many years in the public hospital system, before my current job, I have paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to park in the hospital car park, so I could do my job. Then, I have been abused by visitors to tne hospital because of the car parking fees.1

I spent time working in a hospital and had to pay parking fees as well.1

My physio told me that staff get no discounts on parking at RBWH. Once again, privatised carpark.1

When Keith has his stomach cancer surgery at RNSH Private, we were able to submit my car park tickets for a refund. It was a real worry up til then .... I was there for 12hrs+ a day!
I was lucky .... when I worked at RNSH Sydney - I worked as a Dietary Aide & I started so early I always found a free car park!1 -
Hello @Blondy so sorry to hear the news about your brother. Hoping that you are doing ok, take care of yourself0

I got parking at Royal Adelaide for free right throughout my rad treatment and consultations. And when I had to do something else at the hospital as well, they just said to do it before my appointment and I would be covered.1
