Here you go ladies - make sure you are doing it right - that the house is clean and you are dressed right. .... This 'sewing gig' is SERIOUS!

@arpie good find!  And who would dare not have lipstick on before approaching our sewing!  :)

Hey Everyone, I hope you are all managing ok and feeling well.

Thought Id share one of my recent writings with you all, that maybe it might resonate. xx

    HUMBLED FEARS

    Suffocating white icy walls

    chemicals seeping through my veins

    clinical bouquet encased the room

    detained in a comfortable pain

    The soft blonde amber tresses

    I reluctantly had to forsake

    amused through a twisted smile

what more could this dare take

Challenges that were hard to conceive

strength determined I was to carry

    flesh redesigned a newer me

    through months of undeterred courage

    Pride laid bare crushingly quashed

a slight grey shell clothed in anger

    the reflection screamed physicality

    the truth my only perception

Loss of time the world stirred by

    the smaller I become

    startled memories covertly lingered

of a life I had somehow won

A quality of being to vividly dream

    beyond the white icy walls

where time is dear and doesn’t steal

    another sliver of dignity

8 years passed and time erased

    the tears of yesteryears

as I fervently welcome version 2.0

of my released and most humbled fears

Very clever @iserbrown.  I have never mastered the art of knitting but my Mum knitted socks galore - not as nice as yours, though.  Mine were used in place of slippers.  I still have a couple of new pairs (she passed away in 2009) and will be very sad once the last pair is worn.
