Small satchel with orange goat skin pockets & tote bag with pig skin lining and pockets ...finished. My partner is creating the metal work, including island buckles.
It’s going to be a very busy week to get all 11 finished

WOW! Thanks for that link @iserbrown - I actually have a uke made out of Tassie Timbers - it has been my favourite now & then, but isn't amplified, so I don't play it 'that often' now ...... I do need to get it out again!!
DOUBLE WOW, @jena Those are gorgeous! That pig skin lining is almost like chamois! Well done YOU!!

I've started working on the colouring pages for Lifehouse again... it's only been a year since they had a new one. I feel like such a failure all the time. At least I'm getting back to it. This time it's kittens4

@Inkpetal Every day is an achievement. Failure is only what we place on ourselves. Have compassion for that person you see in the mirror because they deserve it. Sending big hugs.2

I've been enjoying seeing your work on IG!
I feel like a failure almost every minute of every day of my life. I'm aware my self talk is terrible but I'm having no success trying to stop it. I'll keep trying. K xox0 -
Hello All
For the past 8 months I have been designing, creating and sewing a quilt for my husband's eldest grandson who will be 21 at the end of August.
It has been a big effort with many mistakes along the way.
First off, I miscalculated the amount of fabric required for the top and had to purchase more from the United States. By that stage I was nearly 3/4's finished on the top.
God knows where my brain was. When I was cutting the backing a few months later, I measured "wrong" and cut it too short. Another internet search for the backing fabric, only to find the overseas store had sold out! Change of backing colour required.
However it all has worked out well.
The quilt is not quite finished. It needs the edge binding and a label on the back.
I am pleased with the end result.
Off to Perth tomorrow for a week. It's that time again for the dreaded annual scans.
When I return the quilt will have the finishing touches made and entered in our Kimberley Craft Show on 17 August.
Best Kimberley wishes to all.
Annie
