Border Collie x Labrador. He's very clever, very communicative and quite odd!

@Sister
I had not thought of birds. Macho or otherwise. Now the creative juices are really flowing. Thanks for the idea.
Wedgetail Eagles, Whistling Kites (We call them Kimberley Kites), Straw Neck Ibis ( Mr Bin Chicken to you), Emu, Magpies, Butcherbirds. Now you have started me!
Take care and warm Kimberley wishes to you (from Port Hedland where we are enjoying catching up with old friends).

@Annie C What a gorgeous quilt. There must be hundreds of hours of patient, detailed stitching in it.
@InkPetal I’m sorry for the tardy reply .. I’ve not checked this discussion for way too long.
I feel honoured to have my work complemented by such a talented artist. Thank you.
I have not done any filigree patterning I’m afraid. Thank you for considering me for your commission though. I’d love to see what you get made.0 -
I didn't draw a single colouring page over the course of 2018. This. Must. Change. I've started doing sketches if I'm out having a private coffee break - so, rarely. I need some encouragement and inspiration. What's got you really juiced-up creatively lately?1

@InkPetal good on you sweet! you need to get back right into it. For me being creative is an outlet and mine is writing, it helps me alot when life is emotionally challenging and youre going through something hard. Here's something I wrote recently to help me heal...things dear to my heart get me juiced up and creative. Hugs take care of you xoxo
DAD
Your
laughter echoes through empty rooms,Silent
remnants that have me consumed.Tears glide,
over my saddened cheeks,Hopeless
pain in my bones it creaks. My heart
quietly broken, as it screams in pain,One day I’ll
think of you and smile again,Finding
acceptance when you were not sick,In the still
of night your departure so quick. An honest
man, so misunderstood,Actions and
words all misconstrued,A man of
good character and depth unseen,A lending
hand for anyone in need.Devastating
heartache when Mum passed away,As our
hearts laid broken, wishing she could stay,Sudden challenges
that would test our resolve,Never
wavering, my Dad you took control.Like splintered
glass, my spirit broken,In the wind,
loving words forever spoken,Striving for
peace to not always be sad,I’ll always
be the little girl, who will always miss her Dad.11 -

@arpie I'm sorry to hear that, it is hard no matter the time passed, I think as Ive lost both now it's just been a tough week with my Mums Anniversary on Monday too. Writing lifts me like nothing else and sets me free. xx3

oh @melclarity
how that touched my heart my dad was taken from me back in 1991 with Lung Cancer very quickly I still miss him now and realise that I have been without him nearly as long as I had him with me... so glad that your writing can help you be lifted out of the sadness that death brings when we lose our parents.
Keep writing.
