Hi @Shakalker I hear you loud and clear. It started with me at the 4 month mark with trigger thumbs on both thumbs. Click click in the joints in the morning and really really painful. Even got a splint to keep immobile but did not work. BUT there is light in the end of the tunnel. I sit here now with no trigger thumb just an occasional flare up. ( it has been about 12 months since I have been on the femara ) Hang in there hun. I have also had that conversation with the onc about going off the hormones as I am only 1 % affected but have decided to stay with it as I myself don't want any regrets later on. Hi @kmakm and @"Annie C" Yes It was me. Willy wagtails are the teller of secrets. Hope all good with you both. Haven't been on here for a while. Up to 3 full days work a week and contemplating a 4th at the end of this month. It's definitely a struggle with the fatigue is the biggest hurdle like many on this site. life is not the same but blessed I'm still here for sure. Each month I meet up with a small group of Cancer survivors for lunch were we chat and laugh. All beautiful ladies who have been bought together through "Audreys Angels of Hope" a local charity organisation who supports all those with cancer, whether it is supporting those going through treatment or those finished treatment.. They have become like family to me and I am thankful and blessed they came into my life. Yesterday two of them passed away in a horrific car accident when another driver towing a trailer crossed over the highway. To all my online BCNA friends who have been such a support to me as well this last year. Please "live life like someone left the gate open" ( one of my favourite sayings ) because life is so precious. xoRe: Hi again and just an opportunity to say thanks.
Hi @Caz1 No it wasn't an infection. Some dogs like Labs, retrievers and bull mastiffs are known for being a bit nippy when teething. There's nothing you can do but I guess its a bit like babies when they are starting to grow and everything goes in the mouth. It only lasts for a few months. I have a few dog toys Maggie can chew on and loves and then once they are about 4 months old you can get a some of the chewy straps she can spend an hour chewing. It is good to have a time out area for when their enthusiasm gets a bit much. ( I still get really tired from the treatment ) so I find it essential. ( mine was an old playpen. ) But I have no regrets what so ever and you can't beat a good old puppy snuggle they are just the best.Re: Back from the outback and scan day tomorrow.
Cross fingers and toes for you @kezmusc I can't believe it has gone so quickly since your last scans. ( I only remember because of the birthday cake incident ) Glad you enjoyed your trip inland it sure is a beautiful country we have. Hi @Caz1 I had the same dilemma as you. We lost our Bull Mastiff literally just after I was diagnosed last year. We have always had a dog in the family and hubby wanted another bull mastiff and because he is away a lot for work I had second thoughts. Especially with the size and how powerful they are. Fast forward to now and I have a snoozing 5 month old Bull Mastiff snoring at my side ( Yep she snuck up on the sofa ) I have no regrets at all and she makes my day. ( bit hard going through month 3 and 4 with the lunging and nippy stage but she is now over that ) All the best and hope you get just as much enjoyment.
