Should I say happy mining - most of us have a room like that where everything is put with good intention of finding a home later for it!2

Haha. Your sewing room brought back memories of our 40 foot "donga" before I purloined it for a sewing room. It had become a storage area for useful junk. Sadly I never bothered with photos of before and after.
However if I need to be reminded, the sectioned off room at the end of the donga now holds an assortment of "stuff" that is too good to throw away but that I haven't found a use for yet!
The donga sat near the house, just off the end of the verandah. When the shed was being constructed, (a big shed - we don't build small ) - it was decided to incorporate the donga as part of the shed complex.
The local crane operator was brought in with his 2 cranes to "walk" the donga 100 metres to the shed area and place it on stirrups that my husband had measured out and concreted in place to raise the donga 2 feet off the ground.
I fretted during the "walk". My sewing machines were in there! Big industrial sewing machines, not the sort you can hold in 1 hand and carry away.
Well, an hour later, much wringing of hands and worry, the donga was craned into place on the stirrups (it fitted perfectly). I could not wait to get inside and survey what damage may have occurred, while the crane operator waited outside.
I came out and said to him, "you are not that good - a box of tissues fell!"

@Annie C I'm jealous i so miss my massive sewing room. Its been nearly 4 years since i had to down size and I’m still adjusting after over 30 years of having large houses where i could spread 5 metres of material out and lay pattens down and cut things out.Oh well i got to stop dwelling on the past and figure out how i can adapt1

Oh, cranky-granny - thanks for the photo ....... my idea of heaven! Years ago I went to a quilting exhibition in New York, there was an exquisite Mariner's Compass (I think - hundreds of tiny triangles and all hand done). I was told the quilter worked in her very tiny kitchen on the 12th floor of her South Bronx apartment. Understatement to say I was impressed!

That's AWESOME @Glynnis - we have a HEAP of sewers here 0 show us some of your creations!
Everyone needs a bolt hole for total privacy & indulgence in what you love doing!! xxx
Mine is my Uke Group & my kayak fishing - without those 2 activities 2 years ago when I was diagnosed, I would have been a total wreck. You HAVE to have something to keep your hands & mind busy.

Check this out .... what a neat way to get rid of a stack of men’s ties!
(I don’t really think they are ties, but I reckon you ‘could’ use them!)
