Okay now the calendar is now a map! Not too worried about not being able to do all the things I want, has slowed me down a tad. And has helped with golf, slowed down the backswing, able to think of one thing only, like hitting the ball. Have had a few wins.2

Sorry ladies my idea of camping is the IBIS hotel ..... as it is only basic accommodations.... I am passed the camping age.....1

Never too old @SoldierCrab - just we are maybe more discerning. My first go at proper camping in the bush (with the spade to dig the hole and hang the loo paper on - and sharing water for washing) was when i was 50. It was OK but I hated the swag idea !!!
I reckon something with a roof and walls and even air con is more suitable now, even the most basic of cabins ......0 -
Our parents took us camping a lot when we were kids - can still smell wet tent! My last camping foray was in Kakadu - preprepared tents (with flooring and real beds) and formal dinner ready on our arrival each night at the campsite. That kind of camping I can do!4

Husband & myself are heading off again this year, off to the Googs Track & round about SA for the school holidays in April with 2 other vehicles. Camping all the way. But we don't rough it by any stretch of the imagination. We have beds & doonas in our tent. We are generally set up with coffee on in 15 -20 minutes. Husband thinks he's funny to tell people we are quick to set up tent etc in 15 mins ........after 30 mins arguing where to park truck & which way to face tent !!! now days I try to not comment on truck parking (unless I am driving when we stop & then its where I stop.)
In July we head off till November camping all the way with one other vehicle, through Qld across NT & WA to Broome & Derby back to Purnululu & down the Canning Stock Route. Not many toilets out there, but plenty of trees to hide behind.
I am getting excited about getting a truck with a camper on the back in the next year or two.

I would need 'at least' that with my 'better half' @kmakm - as he has involuntary athletic jerks all night (every 30 seconds) that precludes us from sharing a bed at home! In our campervan (VWT4) .... it is almost impossible to stay far enough apart (even tho a Queen Size Bed) to have a good sleep. When camping - if your sleep is stuffed - so is your holiday!!
If I am going on a Fishing Camping Holiday - I now try & arrange my hubby to be with his brother for the weekend!! Then I can just have the camper with the yak & me!!
