@Flaneuse - I missed out on swimming during all of summer. I hated it - sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else have fun.

Well apparently not sleeping and not getting more than enough fluids can get you into trouble. Post drs visit and tests today I got an ecg and 1 litre of fluid - port hurts like all hell now   Had a good sleep while the fluid ran in and feel that probably did more for my heart rate than anything else

    Hi Ladies.
Finally established a meeting with Dr Liz Wylie (Medical Director of BreastScreen WA) on Monday.
I was wondering if you can help me out with feedback on a catchy slogan for my campaign. It is two fold: a) To get the government to lower the invitation age for active recruiting for mammography to 45 and b) Increased awareness of the FREE BreastScreen service from 40.
The slogan needs to inform Australian women that mammograms are available and useful from 40 and effective from 45. Australian data shows that the mortality benefit in the 45-49 group is 30% (second inly to 60-64 yr olds)and that breast density begins to decrease at this age, making mammograms more effective in picking up anything suss. BreastScreen Australia also recommended to the government to extend the invitation age to 45 in 2008, but this was not acted upon.

    Some ideas so far:
    FREE from 40
    NEEDED from 45

    COULD at 40
    SHOULD at 45

    THINK at 40
    ACT at 45

    AWARE from 40
    BEWARE from 45

    CAN at 40
    DO at 45.

Let me know if any of these grab you. What would you like to see on the back of a toilet door? What would work?

Open to any edits, criticism and constructive feedback.
Open to an entirely new slogan too if you have one up your sleeve.

Trying to have one chosen for Monday

I like Think/Act and Can/Do. They are positive and constructive, denoting action and control. Empowering.

Forgot to say that after the concert I went to get some lunch in Southbank. I was queuing to pay when someone walked through the line in front of me. He said "Sorry". I said "No worries" as he brushed past and I realised it was Tim Minchin! What a legend! He's much taller than I thought. I'm tall and was in my highest boots today and I reckon he was a bit taller than that. Love a random celebrity spot, especially one you like and respect, not to mention interaction!

Maybe you could have parallel banding campaigns going with "CAN 40" and "DO 45" and call it all "Can do"
I CAN DO, and you can too. #spitballin @JJ70

Bloody BC just keeps on giving ... Two weeks post-chemo, feeling really proud of myself as I'd almost walked 5km (and almost back home) when struck without real warning with diarrhoea.  No time to do anything.  Back home had to call out to my sick 13yo as  I waddled through to bring me a bucket and disinfectant and then undress in the bath.  Oh, how the dignity suffers.
