Who else can't sleep?

The tiles are good, Kate. The only problem is once you are down there you get a true view of the state of your housekeeping. (I'm not much of a cleaner)
I have the same problem when it comes to yoga at home; there's nothing like a bit of down dog to remind me that I need to vacuum the house more often. Sometimes this is not a place where you want to have your face too close to the carpet...2 -
Thank you @onemargie, that is good to know. It will be pleasant not to be reminded of cancer with every mouthful of food and drink...0

Kids do the floors here - I can blame them.1

My husband is snoring like a train. He says he doesn't sleep much but he's always asleep when I'm awake...2

I slept last night for 6 1/2 hours!!! With the help of Ativan and then Tamazapam. This is after going for 72 hours with about 2-3 hours sleep a night. I wasn't the happiest bunny to be around yesterday - cleaning up after being away and nagging the kids about it. How many clothes can 2 girls wear in a place where you don't really see anyone but family, spend most of the time on the beach AND when I did a load halfway through so there wouldn't be much when we came home?3

Congratulations! On the sleep that is, not the laundry...0

The funny thing is that during the couple of hours sleep I had when we got back Sunday night, I was dreaming that I was in a zombie movie and that my family was in it, too. I felt like a zombie most of yesterday.1

Morning ladies. I feel so bad as I sleep like a baby these days especially since the end of the hot flushes last year. I’m up ealtvlike you guys but at least get a decent nights sleep except for a pee through the night. I hope you guys get some decent rest soon. And yes @Sister I remember going away on hols either camping or in a unit with only two kids me and hubby and I remember thinking the same on our return home..... where the fuck did all this bloody washing come from! And even when we went camping i still did a load or three and still managed to come home with 408 loads of washing to do WTF! Lol. Margie xx2

I'm in that club too!! Isn't it SO annoying?? During Menopause I could never sleep either .... so usually have some temase on hand - especially when camping .... I've also tried Phenergan tabs - but usually just end up with a dry mouth. I've tried Melatonin tabs & my sister brought her pharmacy compounded Melatonin liquid down over Easter & I tried it - it did nothing for me ...... I've tried various 'natural solutions' that also don't work!!However - last night I had a REALLY good sleep - probably more due to the fact I was out in my kayak yesterday, fishing for 7-8hrs (a cast of thousands) .... so was very suitably tired before going to bed!
I wear ear plugs so that I don't hear any 'external' noise - be it my husband's snoring or the birds starting their dawn chorus - as once I DO wake up, I can never go back to sleep!
What a PAIN!!!
I haven't read all 23 pages ...... SO ... does anyone have a sure fire method for getting back to sleep (or just falling asleep in the first place) ..... that works???2 -
@arpie I'm sorry to say the answer is no...
I can use Temazepam three times a week but it never gets me all the way through the night. Nothing defeats the hot flush.
Kayak & fishing exhaustion sounds effective, but probably not sustainable on a daily basis!1
