Who else can't sleep?

Good morning and thank you sweet @onemargie! It is very heartening to hear that your hot flushes have vanished, gives me hope. I am happy to report that I am making a little headway on the constipation front. Slowly, and hopefully surely. By the sounds of it our tastebuds went exactly the same way! You just described mine precisely. Now how long was it before yours returned to normal?0

Best thing I've eaten was last night. I did a fresh tomato fettucine with basil pesto. My poor tummy loved the carbs and I could actually taste the sharpness of the pesto, tomatoes and olives!1

Here you go @kmakm
here is the hammer to knock you out with LOVE .....
I had a Sh*t night.... dinner at RSL had 2 glasses of wine thinking of this be nice I will sleep well.... NO first cousin rang to say his mum had gained her wings then the bl**dy hot flushes started because I had had 2 wines not 1 .... I can get away with 1 glass but 2 and I am like a furnace for days on and off with the freezer mode kicking in ....0 -
I'm the same with wine as I get older. Up to 2 glasses and I can sleep - any more and I'm awake all night. Sorry to hear about your aunt.0

@Sister
it is all good she was in her late 80s and had lost her hubby at Christmas diagnosed a month ago with bowel cancer and she refused treatment as just wanted to be with her hubby.... it is her Family I feel for left to grieve both parents in less than 3 months
I purposely have not had wine tonight
G/friend came at 7am and we went for a road trip to Grenfell and Jan Parletts amazing store then onto Young and Boorowa before returning to Bathurst it was an amazing day which I needed.4 -
Thanks for that @SoldierCrab! Have gone to bed early (for me) tonight, just so tired after another poor night's sleep, and also feeling rather nauseous.
Sorry to hear you had a rotten night, but delighted to hear it was followed by a lovely day. My condolences for your family's loss.
When you say "freezer mode" do you mean the cold chill that follows a hot flush? I get them. Dreadful.
Here's hoping tonight is a good one for us all. K xox0 -
0347 and it's the second time I've woken tonight. Headache, nausea, shoulders up round my ears. Weird dreams about storms, car crashes & not being prepared for my HSC exams. Hot flushes then freezing cold. This must be so dull to read. Sorry! I just feel dreadfully anxious.0

I must have just missed you, @kmakm. I've been up and down tonight - may be the full moon - aaarrrroooooo! I've got a dreadful suspicion that I'm coming down with a cold - my youngest has had a bad one for the last day or so. Hoping it passes. It could be the night sweats giving you bad dreams ( as well as anxiety, of course). I had really vivid and disturbing dreams when I was having those. All of the hormones going crazy, I guess. Not fun at all. I hope you managed some sleep in the end.
Daylight Saving officially finished here so everyone else gets one hour less sleep, too!1 -
@Sister Fitful sleep, been awake twice since then. Could indeed be the full moon! I haven't been too sweaty but I did wake up one time tonight quite slick (having dreamed about getting caught in a gun rampage). I didn't know about the vivid dream night sweats connection. Hope you dodge that cold.

Thank you @Kiwi Angel I'm up now to get the leg of lamb out of the fridge before I slow roast it for seven hours. About to take some paracetamol for my headache. Hey, there's a thread of fabulous sunrises, you should post this there too (it's called What A Sunrise). Beautiful!0
