Understand girls - am not quite as severe but was at 40 so my thoughts are with you all - is very debilitating mentally , emotionally as well as physically . Big hugs.

How much longer on chemo @kmakm?

@JJ70 I had my last dose two weeks ago. I'm considering myself officially finished at the close of play next Monday. Tuesday will be the first day free of the three week cycle of tyranny I've been in since early January.

And then it's onto the bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction. I had the date confirmed yesterday, Friday 27th April.

Oooo...all go for you @kmakm. Celebrate on Monday! I am a couple of weeks behind you. My single mastectomy and immediate DIEP penciled in with plastic surgeon for May 29, not yet confirmed with my mastectomy surgeon.

I haven’t had the pleasure of the full in hot flushes yet - have got a little flushed in the afternoon when it is hot but doesn’t last long and as I’m new to this whole thing I just keep taking my temp. Feeling a bit more sloth like today as finished this cycle of Dex this morning so hopefully sleep well. Hubby was snoring last night but I would just prod him until he turned over and then got back to sleep pretty quickly. @kmakm u will have to let me know when u get some sort of normality back to all your bodily functions.

@JJ70 It is all go, rather too much for my liking...

I'm actually booked in for a celebratory act on Friday. I sincerely hope that I am never bald again but while I am I thought I'd seize the chance and get a head henna (aka crown henna) done. I'm nuts for India (I escort small groups there about once a year) and often get it on my hands & feet. I'm quite excited!

DIEP for me too - gulp. It's good to be in step with someone going through this treatment process, isn't it. This forum is a marvel.

@Kiwi Angel My hot flushes started in my second chemo cycle. I took my temp every day in the first three weeks to get a baseline but didn't worry about it much after that. I think you develop a very good awareness of your body during chemo!

Will let you know when normalcy resumes!

    My husband snores too...

If it gets you it gets you good eh @Joannie?! I have plans to go in December but haven't bought the ticket yet. Been waiting on this BC schmozzle to play out a bit more. Let me know when you get the go ahead!
