I agree, its PATHETIC after everything you go through, that it is elective! Disgusting!!! I am different in that I chose a single mastectomy 1 year after treatment and not at the time, so I was able to have immediate diep flap recon. Its not an easy road no matter what you choose, I had 2 major ops last year but am over it.
The only way I jumped the cue for mastecomy/diep flap recon in the public system was because I had a recurrence at the 4 year mark, so was placed Category 1 eventhough I was BRCA 1 & 2 negative.
I really hope this is something that can change!! x M0 -

Mel I’m still campaigning for the wait list so watch this space haven’t heard a thing since I went on the channel 10 news which surprised me a bit but I am also in the middle of writing to the superannuation and human services ombudsman about my complaints about accessing my super. So I’ll let you all know how that goes. And marg fuck you make me laugh. I grew up in country south Australia so from one Bogan to another thank you !!! Xxx
