I feel it’s going to be an insomnia week unlike last cycle - at least there is lots on telly.

@Kiwi Angel Mine's a snorer too. Very challenging.

I couldn't have drunk any wine at all during chemotherapy; tasted disgusting! Don't fancy it much at the moment either. Just soda water, and unsweetened almond milk are all I'm craving drinks wise these days.

    Sleep tight   :)

@kmakm - maybe excited about going home?  R all your drains out or do u have to go home with some?  I managed to doze off but slept very fitfully- feel pretty exhausted. In the third week I have still enjoyed a drink and my tastebuds are pretty recovered.

I'm so excited - I'm making it until about 4:30am most mornings!

@Sister @kmakm @Kiwi Angel  I've had about 2 hours sleep. This is the first time I've resorted to turning on my iPad in the night. Start of the slippery slope .... the wine didn't help at all. It's too cold to get up.  Morning all , who's putting the kettle on?

That was me the first round @Finch, second round I slept ok - this time I dozed off around 11.30ish but tossed and turned all night. Maybe I should recline my chair st chemo and have a nap. @Sister that’s great. Normally I sleep pretty good when not on the Dex - I have yet to be hit by bad chemo induced hot flushes thank god. I’m just having a strong coffee and some peanut butter toast. It’s getting cooler here in Sydney too - 12 when I went for my walk but is supposed to get to 26 today. What times your appointment @Finch - I have to be there at 9.

I'm 10, but I don't have my anti nausea medication .I'll call the oncology ward after 8 and see if I can get it and take it as soon as I arrive. I've done pretty well so far with chemo 1&2 and don't want to compromise chemo 3.
Youre making me feel lazy @Kiwi Angel I'm still lying here in the dark. Im reminding myself I'm resting my body and can take it easy today in the recliner . I hope to do some shopping chores on the way home but expect the steroids to still be doing there thing so I'll be marching around Bunnings and the supermarket :)
im not expecting much sleep until Tues night at the earliest.

@Finch - I only take Dex and and then they give me my anti nausea drugs through the drip. I have some to take at home if I need it but haven’t really had to. I’m trying to keep myself motivated as I know I probably won’t do much from Thursday onwards. I’m off to work Tuesday and Wednesday so hwve to take my extra pill bag with all my anti nausea, pain relief and thermometer. Luckily the bone pain from my white blood cell injection doesn’t start kicking in till Wednesday night. Stay curled up while u can probably much colder down there.

@Kiwi Angel @Sister @Finch Yes, probably the imminent discharge. Couldn't identify any particular issue at 3am, 4am, 5am, or 6am so that must be it.

    All drains are out.

What time do you go to bed @Sister? If it's 10.30pm you're getting a solid six hours!

Crumpets sound heavenly! Butter and honey on mine thanks  ;)

I fall asleep on the couch around 9pm, but I spend the rest of the night trying to get to sleep.
