    @arpie

    Couldn’t agree more about humour, it can get you through most things.

    But it’s worth noting that Betty White, like many women, underplays her strengths in this comment. She took her immensely long and highly successful career seriously, in a tough industry which wasn’t comfortable about women exercising authority. You can embrace humour and your own capacities!

    YOU CAN’T BE EVERYONE’S CUP OF TEA.
    There will always be someone in this life who just doesn’t like you, no matter how hard you try to please them. There will always be something that you say, or do, which causes offence or division. Whether you meant to or not. There will always be someone who finds fault in you, your life, or your words. You may never find out why, please don’t waste your precious time trying to. You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Then there will be those who like you on impact. A little fizz of energy that passes between you. Silently, unseen, bonding. Those people will not only like you but they will like you fiercely. They are your people. Whatever spare time you have, spend it on them. You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can be someone’s first sip of a cold drink on a sunny day… Or warming hot chocolate when you come in from the rain, or the pop of a long-awaited champagne cork or a stiff shot of tequila when things go awry Find your people, love them hard.

    Love this!

    Soulful Stitching: "Embracing Scars, Healing Souls"
    "Beware and behold, for she is the epitome of a paradox wrapped in the enigma of her own healing. She is the alchemist of her soul, turning the leaden despair of her wounds into golden resilience that courses through her veins. She has been the architect of her own reconstruction, building bridges over the chasms of her heartaches more times than the cosmos can count. Her spirit, a phoenix, has risen from the ashes of her former selves, each iteration more formidable than the last. She wears her traumas not as shackles but as the regalia of a warrior queen, her anguish painted upon her visage as sacred war paint, symbols of survival that no mere mortal could dare to understand. In her eyes, there flickers the light of a thousand battles, each tear that dared to escape has been caught by her indomitable will, a silent promise to herself that no sorrow will leave her unclaimed. Her sorrows, once heavy as the mountain, now serve as the foundation upon which she stands, towering over her past, a sentinel of her own serenity. She is a healer by nature, her very presence the balm to the invisible wounds that others carry, her empathy carved from the very trials that sought to break her.
    She is the dangerous sort of woman, not because she harbors ill will or brings harm, but because she embodies the unassailable power of self-restoration. She has danced with her demons and turned their whispers into the chorus of her victory song. She is a siren, not of destruction, but of strength, her voice the melody that soothes the restless and stirs the complacent. In her laughter is a note, a defiance of the darkness that once threatened to silence her. Approach her with the reverence of one who understands that the most beautiful tapestries are woven from the threads of shattered expectations and renewed hope. She is a testament to the enduring human spirit, a beacon for those lost in the abyss of their own despair. In her is the proof that even when broken, we can piece ourselves back together, with seams of gold stronger than the original canvas. She is a force, a cosmic event, a tidal wave of healing, love, and relentless perseverance. To know her is to know the very essence of recovery, to see in her the embodiment of the power that every being holds within to rise, to conquer, to thrive. She is not just a survivor; she is the embodiment of life's perpetual motion towards healing and wholeness, a reminder that even in our darkest hours, there is the potential to create light so bright, it can never be extinguished."

    You may end up with an entirely 'new tribe' supporting you along this journey - and that is good ..... because, they are there because they WANT TO BE   ;)

    Try not to be disappointed when some friends/family DON'T step up to the plate - they may be facing their own demons that you may not be aware of xx
