Re: Cold cap size
Hi Bear1, The firmer the cap fits the better the result. Plenty of water on to assist freezing process and a small layer of conditioner as well to help get the cap off at the end. I have been cold capping for 18 months and had 4 different chemo drugs and i found talking this approach best for me.87Views2likes1CommentRe: Grade 3 Oncotype Test Chemo decisions
Hi good to hear of a possible grade reduction. I was stage 1A, grade 3, lumpectomy, chemo, radium in 2020. Then hormone suppression. Despite it all in 2023 I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). I threw everything at it and i was fit and healthy. Have no doubts with your treatment. Throw everything at it now. While i an not happy having MBC, I am glad i threw everything at it initially. I would hate to have been diagnosed with MBC if i didnt follow my oncologist advice. My question to you is, if it comes back with you be ok with your treatmenr decisions now? I wish you the very best.302Views1like0CommentsRe: Christmas emotions
Hi mel51, i understand what you are saying. It is a mix of emotions at Christmas and new year. I was diagnosee with mbc nearly 3 years ago. Every birthday, christmas etc i wonder if i will have another one. The only waybi cope is just to be present. Living mindfully helps. I try not to think ahead or look back and i keep living and enjoying. Of course i have my down days, we all do. How could we not. I promises myself not to let cancer take my joy and mostly it doesnt. I read a quote and it was dont die before you die and thats how i live my life. Best wishes for 2026
