I had a doctor who insisted I wasn’t pregnant and wouldn’t even do the test. Eight months later (two weeks overdue) my beautiful first baby was born. Yep, some doctors need a refresher course.0

Unbelievable ego, stubborn stupidity and wilful gendered blindness. Makes me so angry.1

got a ph call from the local hospital specialist clinic , breast screen has just sent through the paper work diagnosis etc but for them to send their reports to my gp I need a referral from him I should see the surgeons late next week daughter was there when the ph call came and now has gone into her room and shut the door the signal is when the door is shut to leave her alone0

that is good you have appointment next week Tisme...
she will need to process it and its ok for her to take time to process it.
Try to do what you enjoy before seeing the surgeon

@tisme I'm sorry I've not kept up with your posts. You have huge challenges ahead, which is just shite. I suggest you get in touch with a breast cancer support group in Brisbane North, called Be Uplifted. Have a look at their website :https://www.beuplifted.org.au
Then contact them directly. They provide practical and some financial support and they're lovely people.5 -
sitting here thinking about things, gotta go see my GP on Monday to get a referral to the specialist clinic ( surgeons) how do I get there and back if I have to have surgery ?? as it is now id have to get a cab there , daughter would have to come and pick me up ( another cab ) and then take me home ( another cab) that's money I dont have0

Tisme I am sure there would be community transport you would be eligible for this service while going through BC treatment.

had a visit from a cancer support , she read my diagnosis and mentioned that it was likely I would have the breast removed, I knew it was possible having dreamed about telling the surgeon that if he was going to take one he should take both ( less chance of that spreading and so I wouldn't look lopsided even with prosthesis which I cant afford anyway. then I discover daughter needs a root canal, and 6 fillings. cant afford that. seems the dental clinic has wiped the 5 years we have been waiting and according to their records we have been on the list 18 months ive also started having bouts of tachycardia again, I know its stress . daughter is suffering stress attacks too now0
