What a brignt post @wendy55. Beautiful day here today. Had a lovely sweet  filled afternoon tea to celebrate my husband's and his twin brother's birthday. So nice to sit outside in the fresh air nattering away.
Took ourselves off to the Barossa Valley for a couple of nights earlier in the week.  Don't necessarily need to visit the wineries, just love driving aroumd looking at the grapevines.
Congratulations @Zoffiel  enjoy that first day at work. Nothing like challenging the brain!
Hope all goes well with your Dad tigerbeth. Time spent with elderly parents is so special.

Nice post @wendy55. All good this end. Had my first mammogram and ultrasound last week 11 months after diagnosis  All clear.  It didn't help that I also read last year's ultrasound results thinking it was for this year and went into a huge downward spiral for several hours until my GP pointed out the date error  It made me realise that no matter how strong anything is it only takes a chink to bring it down, .think Titanic and the Twin Towers. Well that was what happened to my mental state, which I have been working on since treatment ended  For  the last 3 years my two big toe nails have looked disgusting but my podiatrist who I go to every 4 weeks  said it wasn't fungal. I think it was a sign of things to come, but one is almost looking respectable and the worst is  she said looking like a clearer nail is coming through  So maybe some nice summer open sandals will be the go. Noticed this week that the tenderness and mad itch from where my skin peeled under the breast after rads has stopped  Also noticing feeling coming back under my armpit and surgery area on the breast. This helps to stop thinking about what was, and feeling more normal.Been on Letrozole and am more than thankful I have not had any bad side effects  If any it could be the more often sudden onset headaches that painkillers can't fix until I take the second lot and then maybe it'll go. @zoffiel lipstick is the ammunition. Wear it with pride and enjoy your new job. Hope you have the long stay lippy. It can withstand KFC.

A great thread, @wendy55 - hope you are going good too!

Spring is in the air, the orchid my brother gave me after my surgery has now got buds on it ... and it is getting less cold in the evenings - always a bonus!  We've even had some rain today - not much, but it is a start.  (Winter is usually our 'wet season' - and we haven't had any 'real' rain since back in April!  :( )

I see the Onc again next week & not anticipating any problems since changing from Letrozole to Exemestane ....

@Zoffiel  - well done on the new job - I hope you enjoy the week's training ... your new job sounds terrific!!

I got a giggle reading this one - hope you do too.

Hi everybody, sorry I haven't been online lately but I was having trouble with my I pad and couldn't get connected . Thanks to the very patient lady, I rang on the BCNA help line ,who guided me through and now I'm back.  At present I'm on Iv Eribulin 2 weeks on 1week off.,for numerous bone metastasis,. So far no spread to any organs. This chemo is alot easy to tolerate so hope I can stay on it for a while. Due for scans in 2 weeks time and a visit to the orthopaedic specialist . Hopefully all will be okay so I can plan another holiday before Christmas to visit my daughter and family in Tassie.  I do thank al,the girls who sent me wishes for my birthday in July. Sorry I couldn't get my computer to work at the time. Hoping that everyone is having a good day and wishing all the best.

@tigerbeth if there’s no name yet we have a 1 black lab named Dudley but other names we threw out there at the time were zep (like led zeppelin as they sing a song called black dog) Hendrix (like jimmy Hendrix as he’s a fave of hubby and of course was a black man) there was one other but I’ll have to think about it lol And @Zoffiel how’s the job going ?
