@Romla Wisdom teeth coming out here too, along with an extra tooth that's appeared in the x-rays. Boy 12 going in for the surgery next month. That'll be $3000 thanks, though we should get a bit back from the insurance. Gargh!

@Romla They are growing at a 60° angle... The good news is they don't have roots at this stage so they come out easily & with no nerve damage.

Does anyone else get nausea with their hot flushes??

“Naked ginger”  is good for nausea , tastes great and in the dried fruit aisle of supermarkets. Just check to see no conflicts with your treatment though.

@Kiwi Angel Yes. It started about 10 days ago when my hot flushes ramped up again. Not everytime but often. I've felt pretty nauseous for most of the day today. Only had a bit of toast for dinner. I've normally got a strong stomach so it's quite unsettling. Maybe I have a stomach bug? Or maybe it's the AI. Either way it can eff off because I'm not interested in feeling like this non-stop. How long have you been having nausea with your hot flushes?

@kmakm it’s been the last couple of weeks I have noticed it and it’s not every one and it’s quite fleeting. It’s a weird kind of nausea too but sometimes I really feel like I might throw up. They seem to be getting more frequent too and actually waking me up in the night lately. I went for my first walk in ages yesterday (on the upside the muscles seem stronger and I don’t feel like I’m gonna have a heart attack while walking up a hill) and I thought this would help me sleep better but I slept worse last night. Once a hot flush wakes me up I then become aware of my aching hip which radiates down my leg and then I can’t get comfortable to go back to sleep and my slightly numb feet that haven’t fully recovered yet don’t help with the general uncomfortableness and I haven’t even started the tamoxifen yet so I’m wondering what joys that can add to the mix.

@Romla that’s for that suggestion - I might get some - I have been having lemon and ginger tea if I have it and it’s lingering.

@Kiwi Angel I too have lemon&ginger tea but also like a slice or two of ginger root in boiling water( plus of course Buderim ginger bear June’s strictly medicinally of course). I know ginger is a blood thinner so must not have week/so before surgery and also if you take blood thinner tablets like Warfarin.

@Romla - not on any of those things and hoping not to have any more surgery this year so will give it a go.  Love ginger!!

    Hopefully a better sleep tonight!

Rode a hot flush to the loo. Still going strong when I'd finished so pressed my body onto the glass shower screen for some relief. Bliss.

@kmakm - hahahahaha - the mental pictures. I took awhile to get to sleep as my slightly numb feet felt weird. Less hot flushes last night I think but I woke up at 2 and 4 - took a panadine osteo last night which seemed to help the arthritic aches. I have basically forgotten what it is like to sleep through the night!!

@Kiwi Angel Sleeping through the night? I doubt I ever will again. Those days are gone. I know it gets harder as you age but throw in the AI side effects and for me it's impossible. The night of the 22nd November 2017 was my last halfway decent sleep. I got my BreastScreen recall email the next day. Seven months later and I'd say I'm chronically sleep deprived. It surely is a contributing factor to my lack of energy & motivation, and my low mood. I wish I could have access to a sleeping pill that would knock me out for eight hours, that would keep me asleep through the hot flushes. Does such a thing exist?

@kmakm - its amazing how the hot flushes wake you up isn't it - so intense - my husband was actually cuddling me in bed one morning when I had one and he felt how hot I got instantly.  I'm so far managing on a broken sleep and as long as I still get a decent amount of sleep even if its broken I should be ok.  Struggle to stay awake past 9pm - have fallen asleep in my book the last 2 nights!!
