    Worst sleep ever again last night - fuc**n side/after effects of chemo and the drugs. Hot flashes again all night and because I had a busy day at work and was on my feel most of the day my cankles has flared up and I had such sore calf muscles and the bottom of my feet were sore but also tingly and numb. I also woke myself up snoring a couple of times - I now snore for some reason - don’t know if it is the lack of nose hair or what!!

    @Kiwi Angel - what a bugger Steph!
    Any chance you can take a day off today? Treat yourself to something that takes you to one of your happy places and have a bit of a rest? Xxxx

    @Eastmum luckily I don’t work fridays - only 4 day weeks but 11 hr days so I’m easing back into it - 2 days this week and 4 days next week. Today I’m going to the physio about my possible lymphodema arm, then I’m going to pop into work with some pressies for the girls that have been so good to me during all this shit, maybe a little housework before I do this and then I’m gonna have a lie down and watch some telly this afternoon. Have a fun day planned tomorrow in the city. Hard trying to get back into exercise when your body won’t cooperate- will just have to try some yoga at home to stretch them out.

    @Kiwi Angel Dreadful Steph, poor love. Coming back from TC takes time. Can you take a few days off to give yourself a chance to recover more? I know being at work is good for your mental health but little and lousy sleep is ruinous, and it's easy to spiral down. K xox

    @kmakm have the next 3 days off and Sunday is planned as not much more apart from making some pumpkin soup. U probably have noticed I’m abit impatient and stubborn -I think it’s hard to get your head round how u take your body for granted and it chugs along quite happily doing with it does and then one day due to this experience is temporarily craps it’s self.

    It has been observed @Kiwi Angel! But sometimes stubborn is ruinious for our health and can slow our recovery. Take care and please look after yourself. You are number one! Kate xox

    Indeed @Kiwi Angel The spontaneous destruction of major bodily functions coupled with the sly encroachment of a myriad of minor to medium sized health insults is the most frustrating thing of all.

    I look at myself in the mirror and can still see, under the flab, the person who only a couple of years ago could run for miles and hay cart with the best of them. Now? Nothing works and there is another fucking problem every week. An example, still in bed at 8.30. Since when is that OK? Oh, since my arm hurts less when I keep it over my head.. And its raining so my feet are aching like mad .FFS

    @kmakm. I am being sensible and taking it easy as much as I whinge - thanks for looking after me  ;). Didn’t even try to go for a walk this morning as my calves were so sore - thought the walking I would do during the course of the day would be enough - at least the cankles subsided overnight!!  @Zoffiel exactly how I feel - used to be up at 5am every morning except Sunday morning when I would allow myself a sleep in and now most days I feel like I could stay in bed till lunchtime every day. I hate the little to large health issues that just keep cropping up - is quite demoralising. Sick of feeling like an old woman!!

    @Kiwi Angel - what happened at your physio appointment? Do you have lymphodema in your arm? I hope that you're on your way to sitting in front of the telly right about now! It's all about accepting the new normal I think - I've found that the quicker I get to the 'acceptance' stage of everything that's going on, the quicker I can find an action plan to deal with it.

    @SoldierCrab - just your mention of snow makes my toes and fingers react! Hope you can stay as warm as comfy as possible this weekend - they're predicting a cold one!

    @Eastmum. Since I am retaining fluid everywhere at the moment she is still treating it as chemo related and we will review again in a month. Just lying in bed with the fur nurse watching telly. I’m too stubborn for my own good sometimes.

    Sounds like good news @Kiwi Angel.

    I'm standing in front of the fire @SoldierCrab - snow sounds way too cold.

    Sounds like a plan Steph - here's hoping a month will make a difference. Leaving work in 15 mins and got my pyjamas on my mind! Your body will be thanking you right now @Kiwi Angel - have a great weekend!

    @kmakm - I went a bit crazy! I bought both a rainbow and a blue/purple turban wrap, one of their earthy coloured beanies and a forest green headband! Excited!
