Arrrrghh. Head won't shut down. Lumpectomy and SNB on Tuesday (which is now tomorrow). Was hoping to go to work in the morning just to keep my mind busy. My beautiful daughter arrives in the afternoon to be the adult to look after me after procedure. It's my job to look after my children!0

Let her fuss over you if she wants to, it can be difficult to get support from your kids, as many of us have discovered!0

My Mum never had cancer but she did have surgeries that scared me silly as they were signs of her mortality. I was glad to do anything to help her through those times as the thought of her struggling unnecessarily was not an option for me. Your daughter still needs you - it's just the it's happening that looks different. (Oh, @taboogal - memories have made me cry.) Best wishes from me and give your daughter an extra hug.1

Morning ladies! Well I had a good run with the sleep for a few weeks now. But here I am this Morning with you lol. I’ve been sleeping straight through lately and don’t even wake for a pee so as that was my downfall trying to get back to sleep after that so luckily I’m sleeping well now just up with you bloody lot this morning! But it’s a really good chance to catch up as I’ve been back at work practically full time which I’m loving and trying to help organise the what was I fucking thinking BC gala dinner! So I’ve been flat out! How you feeling @kmakm? And how’s my brissy neighbour @annsan going ? And @zoffiel and @sister are you up yet?? I’ve missed our virtual cuppa! I have homemade savoury scones and double chocolate chip cookies in the fridge if you’d like some!! Margie xx1

Good morning @onemargie ! I've been awake since about 1am but tried to go back to sleep until 4am - oh well. Sounds like you need the sleep more than me but that you're having fun - working and organising stuff - brilliant! I can offer cupcakes left over from the high tea my friends organised here yesterday. (Very la-di-da with fancy cups and saucers, cucumber and salmon sandwiches, and very swish cakes - very funny considering we're all originally from the bogan burbs!)1

Lol they definately didn’t do high teas in the bush in SA when I lived there that’s for sure!! I’m up for a cucumber sandwich for sure! But I wouldn’t have a fucking clue how to use a cup and saucer apparently there’s etiquette to that which I bloody don’t have any of lol!! Hopefully you’ll get some sleep soon. Big hug. Margie. Xx0

Shivering on and off all night here. Don't know why as it's not especially cold. Weird vivid dreams too. I can contribute a Malaysian Ants Nest Cake to proceedings. It's a Poh recipe, caramel flavoured. Part of my plan to expand my cooking repetoire. I was OK there for a bit @onemargie but now my incisions are infected and have dermatitis. I'm on antibiotics and have to go back to the GP tonight. Disheartening. My husband is back to work today so I'm back on deck in charge of the mothership. Dreading it. Nothing like organising a gala though! Where do you start with that?!1

hi there @kmakm take it easy on the mothership remember to be kind to yourself i bet that best friend of yours is on your case too!! so sorry to hear youve had a hiccup post surgery fingers crossed its all sorted soon and yes the gala dinner....... fuck me lol already started with that months ago!! . tickets will be on sale this week hopefully after a few hiccups so ill keep you all posted and perhaps ask permission from @Giovanna_BCNA if I can put the flyer on here.. saturday july 7th sandstone point hotel qld, fireworks, bands, entertainment etc will be a great night for our little charity for sure $108 per head with a 2 course dinner and 1 drink, raffles, prizes etc, hopefully its ok to let you know that much if not @Giovanna_BCNA will let me know and no @kmakm you cant offer to help you need to get better... thats an order!! . margie. xx0

Oh no Kate - so sorry to hear about your infection - no wonder you've been shivering on and off! Nearly joined you all at 3am this morning and then miraculously found myself at 7am - definitely having some really weird dreams too. I hope the antibiotics kick in very soon. xxx0
