Bloody cat decided to roam the house crying in the middle of the night so I can't say whether the Melatonin was effective or not.

Maybe the cat needs melatonin! Or a cage

He ended up in the laundry.  Love him to bits but not when he's yowling in the middle of the night.

The possums spend most of the night either fighting or fornicating on the roof then moving down to the front verandah, outside my bedroom, where they send the Hound mental. It's making me go all stabby.

Ear plugs, ladies - I seriously recommend them to reduce those noises you don't want to hear!!

You 'squeeze' 3/4 of one end until it is the size of a 'pen' - then quickly insert it into your ear - virtually pushing it in as far as you can!  It will enlarge to take the shape of your inner ear - and the 'external bit' will always be larger, as it wasn't squished - so you shouldn't be able to push them in too far!  Eventually, they retain the shape of your inner ear & you don't have to squeeze it before inserting!

You can still hear people talking to you and fire alarms etc .... it just deadens those 'other noises' that either wake you up in the first place, or keep you awake once you are!  :(

These are the ones I use all the time - try them first.    Most of the other ones are TOO SOFT or TOO HARD for me to use.  This one is 'just right'!  :)

Who else can't sleep?! I've been awake since 4am. First night in a friend's holiday house. I could see light coming in through an internal window and idly wondered at it, thinking I didn't notice that when I was going to sleep earlier. Eventually gave in to the urge to pee and decided to ride the third hot flush of the hour to go to the loo. On the way there I discovered the light source... my youngest and her friend sitting up on a bed playing a board game! They've been at it for over an hour! "We can't sleep" No kidding, you can't sleep if you're playing a game of Cathedral... The light is now off! No doubt their behaviour later will tell the tale. Garrrgghh!  :#

Am waking earlier and earlier....eek!! Wake to go to toilet, can't get back to sleep. Must I not have my evening cuppa that I love so much?   Up at 1am, but probably awake for at least 30mins before that. Now 3:20 here. I am off to bed to see if I can get back to sleep...........
