Hi @Canisha,
As others have said, we all are here for you in a 'virtual', but very genuine way. We all share the same fears, and highs and lows. I am so sorry to hear of your news, and hope you have many, many more good years ahead. Thinking of you and keep in touch on this site.

Hi Canisha. I can certainly relate to what you are going through. I was initially diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer back in 2015, which then metastasised to my Liver in September 2017 and last month discovered it had progressed to my Brain. I too have had Brain Radiotherapy, which went quite well and start on another Chemo next week. I have a daughter who is 16 and I too worry about her and my husband, but found that getting organised and prepared for the future (without me), helped a lot. I’ve updated my Will, had an Enduring Power of Attorney prepared, made a list of important information and contacts, made a list of my favourite recipes and done a bunch of other stuff that will help make life go a little easier for my family and friends. It gave me a sense of satisfaction that I was able to get all this sorted, although some people may find this a little too confronting. It doesn’t mean you’ve given up, it just puts things into place for the future.
I’m also a big believer in getting professional counselling through a qualified Psychologist who specialises in this field. Both my husband and daughter see Psychologists and I will too.
please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or just want a chat. I will be thinking of you. Lynne 🌹8 -

Hi all wondering if anyone can help me out. As most know I have liver and brain Mets had radiation and 2 weeks ago had first chemo next one due in week. Each day I am sleeping more but still manage to eat and drink and walk aound outside for a few minutes, do a jigsaw and talk with my girls. When I get tired a doze off for 20 to 40 minutes then I am ok for a while. Just wondering if anyone has had these symptoms as you are waiting for the chemo to kick in. I have informed my specialist and hoping she will get back to me today. I hate not knowing what it going on it is the hardest part of the treatment the waiting. I wish you all the best in your own journey and if you have any questions please ask Canisha0

This is going to sound silly of me, but what symptoms are you referring to?0
-
Having to sleep most of the day away and the heaviness of the enlarged stomach due to the liver cancer0
-
Sleepiness is VERY normal during chemo. I didn’t have liver cancer, but chemo made me feel full whilst at the same time, the steroids made me hungry. It was very strange. Does this help at all?0

Yes thanks heaps1
