Oh lordy @zoffiel! The things that are sent to try us...

Epic fail again on sleeping last night. Slept from 1am to 4am and that was it. Hot flushes every 20 - 30 minutes, bowel issues, and just wide awake. Dozed a bit between 9am and 10.30am. I hate turning day into night but three hours is not sufficient for me to FUNCTION AS A HUMAN BEING  :#

@sister I'm desperately hoping that as the chemo drugs leave my system some of these sleep issues will resolve.

I crochet, or undo previous crochet.  The colours soothe me.  Magnesium oil has also been good.

Woke at 3am, gave up at 4am.  Off to get AC No. 3 today.  Still packing it after my first go went so badly.  I know it'll be okay but I won't relax until it's done.  At least no cold caps today - hubby is going to clip me when we get home.  BTW, has anyone noticed how bizarre the hair loss is?  I've still got most of my eyebrows and lashes but the fine hair on my face is all but gone; the hair on my arms is still as usual but almost all gone on the rest of my body.

Hey there @Sister , you'll be fine. Take along some nice  tea or coffee  of your own and anything else you might fancy. I went for salt  and vinegar  chips which I had  to just suck, as  crunching them up caused bleeding gums, but the sharp taste was what I liked. The hair thing is a bit strange,  isn't it? I was totally bald north and south...felt like  I was ten again!!! My arm and leg hair went  next and eyelashes, one by one and lastly the eyebrows. For me, the biggest pain without eyelashes, was cat hair getting  into my eyes. You don't realise how much dust and  fluff and other such stuff your lashes keep out, till you have none. All the hair is  now mostly back, but my underarms still have nothing, and very sparse on my legs. When the hair started to regrow, at first I looked like a startled yeti, very fluffy peach down covered my arms, like lanugo on a prem baby.

    Good luck luck today @sister
The hair loss thing is strange. I've twice  ended up with what I will call a reverse Brazillian, youd  think the last thing you'd be bothered with during chemo is your bikini line, but there you go.
Giving the cold caps the flick will make today easier, and will certainly speed the process up. Bald really is OK. Mxxx

Thanks.  I know in reality that I'll be fine - after the original debacle, they take very good care of me - it just lurks in the back of my mind and I won't breathe freely until it's done.  And they do feed me very well.

Vodka.... lots and lots of vodka. Lol.  Seriously.  I use a cotton doona rather than a feather. Sleep nude and drape the doona half on half off  I don’t get the flushes anymore but when I did I would sleep on a towel and have a squirty bottle of cold water by my bed to spray my face with that helped. Hi there @sister.  I was similar. I kept my eyebrows and eyelashes but lost the duck fluff on my face including my chin hairs lol (one of the perks). And some arm hair but not all of it. Definately lost the pubes and armpit and leg hair (again a perk)  hang in there love. Best of luck today.  Let me know if you need a chat just flick me a text.  Biggest hug. Margie xx

Best of luck today @sister. You've given away the cold cap at the same point as I did. It'll be a lot quicker today. And hurray on the the clipping. Everyone at home on board with it now? I've lost all the hairs except the eyebrows and eyelashes which have thinned but are still hanging in there. Still have to get through the hair drop portion of this cycle though. Fingers crossed! I love not having to pluck the chin bristles, and shave the legs & pits. The Brazilian took some getting used to; the skin needed time to adjust... Hope today goes well. K xox

So far, so good. The nurse was able to flush the port and the blood came out so starting to relax a bit. Everyone is okay with me being shorn!
