Who else can't sleep?

Oooo...all go for you @kmakm. Celebrate on Monday! I am a couple of weeks behind you. My single mastectomy and immediate DIEP penciled in with plastic surgeon for May 29, not yet confirmed with my mastectomy surgeon.

@JJ70 I had my last dose two weeks ago. I'm considering myself officially finished at the close of play next Monday. Tuesday will be the first day free of the three week cycle of tyranny I've been in since early January.

And then it's onto the bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction. I had the date confirmed yesterday, Friday 27th April.

How much longer on chemo @kmakm?

Understand girls - am not quite as severe but was at 40 so my thoughts are with you all - is very debilitating mentally , emotionally as well as physically . Big hugs.

I won't need to dress up for the next zombie walk - I already look the part from lack of sleep!

@jj70 @Romla As I've adjusted to the BC diagnosis, I suspect that's not a factor like it was, other than every now and then when I go on a worry bender. I think chemotherapy has definitely been a contributer: drugs, bowel problems. It will be interesting to see what happens as I move out of this phase of treatment. However for me at the moment it's the hot flushes. Like bloody clockwork all night long. I can't recall when I last strung together more than 2 - 3 hours sleep. I feel like the walking dead most days  :#

My problem is a son inyear 12 who is addicted to technology ( and chose a very heavy subject load) and developing sleep problems - got him drinking Sleepytime Tea but the switch from technology to a book proving difficult.It’s hot flushes that cause sleeplessness for me but am retired so less of a problem.

I'm the same @kmakm. Can get to sleep usually...it is the constant waking....4 or 5 times a night.  Sometimes going back to sleep and other times not. 

@"Kiwi Angel" Sounds like a very good plan.

@Romla I have the blue light filter on my phone from about 8pm.

For me it's only sometimes I have difficulty falling asleep. It's the constant waking during the night. Sometimes I can get back to sleep but sometimes I can't.

@Romla I have always been a reader and find it relaxes me - so far so good.
