Anger

The anger for me was terrible - I'm not usually an angry person and so the guilt that came with it was compounding everything!!  I really tried to find the reason why as (after deep deliberation) I chose not to go down the medical path after 2 operations and Drs advice for chemo, radio and Tamoxifin.  Even so my impatience was rampant!!  I realised for me it was stemming from stress - my stressed out body and my stressed out brain.  For me, realising this was liberating as it gave me a starting point to change some things.  It also gave me an answer to give to the shocked looks from family.  I now take myself off to 3 yoga classes a week-2 of them are on dinner time, so others in the family have to step up (so it;s usually take away night).  I also found cutting out sugar made a huge difference to my emotions. :)

A totally left field anger management suggestion I read about once was belting a tennis racquet hard into your bed mattress for a while.Guess at least it gets it out safely .I used to belt a tennis ball hard into our side wall when I was a kid - my father used to sleep the other side of the wall.

Go, girls! Sometimes only we can be our own advocates and I think it has become more important for us to call it.

Thanks everyone - she is doing what she can to reduce my stress but she’s abit oblivious sometimes. I refuse to do other people’s jobs for them though - doing my own these days is challenge enough!! I agree that them not having everything done is due to socialisation or disorganisation. 

Just realised this morning too that it is the anniversary of my first chemo - don’t know where that went!!

Oh dear, that's a shocker, @"Kiwi Angel" - well done on chucking the wobbly.    Some people (once they realise you will clean  up after them), just keep on leaving the mess, knowingly!    grrrr

I had a hissy fit about Whack Job #1 leaving a heap of unanswered emails and unconfirmed bookings for me to deal with last week when they went on leave. I'm only a casual and, while I'm competent, I'm not paid enough to run interference for someone who is not doing their job. This person rules the roost by claiming OCD means any system but theirs is unacceptable and having tantrums when things don't go their way. I've been yelled at by experts so frankly, my dear, don't give a damn. Left to my own devices for a week, I reorganised all the drawers in our shared desk. Take that :)

@Kiwi Angel I have never understood why everyone else thinks that if they are too busy then someone else can pick up their slack. I often find they have run out of time because they socialised at the same time as working. Look after yourself lovely.

I had a huge rant at my boss yesterday morning. Walked into a total mess at work that other people couldn’t finish cause they were “busy” or “ran out of time” - so what everyone else does and stay later to get it done - don’t leave your job for someone else to do. Told her if I have to keep dealing with this I’ll quit!!!
