Unintended Consequence
Just had a visit to my GP for routine blood results and had a nice surprise to hear that my vitamin D reading was excellent (95)!
Not too shabby for the middle of winter. It has been a lot lower, especially before I was diagnosed with BC (there does seem to be some correlation between the two but that's a whole other discussion for another day).
My doc asked if I was taking supplements? Answer no. I was thinking on the way home what the difference might be and I think it might be mushrooms ??? I eat mainly plant based now and have mushrooms 3-4 times a week. They are high in Vitamin D ....taste great, are in season now .........and no I don't work for a mushroom company :D :D
