@poodlejules That is great news!! I went for my annual full blood test the other week & unfortunately my Vit D was a little low. GP said I could take a supplement or just get more sunshine but the later is a bit hard in the middle of winter so, even though I prefer to get my vitamin/mineral intake from food, i am now taking a tablet once a day. i am a vegetarian so eat HEAPS of mushrooms...meat for vegetarians.......so maybe my reading would have been a lot lower, if I hadnt been eating my mushies!! GP said that following my BC surgery & also having ovaries/tubes removed, its not uncommon for this to effect your vitamin levels. My blood test did reveal however, that my Graves disease(over active thyroid) has returned, after being in "remission" for a few years & my levels were scarily low so now I'm off to an endocrinologist. Again, this could all be due to what I've been through the last couple of years. I guess one thing effects another so thats why its important to keep having regular blood tests/bone density tests etc to make sure us ladies continue in the best health possible. Enjoy those mushrooms!! Love & hugs xx
