Diagnosed on 2nd December with invasive cancer NST. (not sure what that stands for) ER/PR positive HER2 negative. Surgery done last week, breast conserving and lymph node removed. Follow up meeting today with Belinda Brown surgeon (who I really like) and was given a mountain of info. I was told that Post surgery, I will require chemo, radiation and tablets. The chemo is required due to a 25% Ri67 proliferation index which I am not really understanding. I was mentally ready for radiation and tablets but the chemo has thrown me a bit. I have been referred to Jacqui Thompson oncologist at Peninsula Private. Has anyone else seen her? If so can you tell me what she is like please. All a bit daunting at the moment but will do what needs to be done but I am a need to know person and don't want to google so I hope those of you who have been on this journey can assist.
