Hi guy’s

next week I’m going for my first mammogram and ultrasound since surgery and treatments
I was wondering is 5 months after finishing radiation a normal time frame for scans

i haven’t had a mammogram or scan since January 2020 when diagnosed and getting checked pre treatments

also I noticed that my appointment with surgeon after scans is 2 weeks later
would they really make you wait 2 weeks to notify you if something was wrong.

scan day anxiety is setting in

    @Blossom1961 Thank you
    I didn’t realise they did it 12months after diagnosis.
    does that mean I’ve made my 1st year survival if all is good?
    or will they scan again in 6 months

    Unless there's some concern, it's normally a 12 month cycle - thank goodness.

    @2MC Twelve monthly is normal for scans. I had three monthly visits to my onco for a physical until the two year from NED mark. It should have been six monthly for the Onco and six monthly for the surgeon but I liked my new Onco so much I forwent the surgeon and doubled up on the Onco. Worked for me. They seem to do it different in every state (and even within the state).
