Port slipped/flipped - aching and painful

It may seem like a lot to get through now, but since finishing 14 months of treatment I feel like it actually went pretty quick. My port gets flushed every six weeks, but they can stretch that to 8 or even 9 weeks. The longer it goes the more likely it is that it will become blocked by a fibrin sheath. But even this is no biggy. They can unblock it by flushing it with a certain drug which works after 1 hour or by using a pressure injector done under CT scan. I have had both done and both are painless. My port won't be removed until Nov 2019 unless it flips again so we have a while together yet. Good luck.0

Any win is a win. Anything that takes some pressure off is positive.
