Ok so, update after 3 cycles of Xeloda, tumor markers have dropped from 295 to 126.... yay!!!
Oncologist is happy with me, said all other blood results normal.

Good on you Paula. For those who still think that level is high, it depends on what state you live in and how they process the tests. My oncologist explained it to me the other day as my dad has just moved interstate and the levels are different but he said they are encouraging too and the chemo did a good job.0

Well done ! Any drop in tumour markers is good news, I think. Xeloda is a good drug. I was on it for about 17 months and it kept my bone mets stable. It was the side effects that my oncologist decided I should come off it . Mainly the neuropathy in the feet. How are you coping with any side effects.?1
