Hello and welcome to the Friday update!
Community Highlights
We have had a great week here at the Online Network. Please help me welcome the 27 new members from around Australia! John, Vickste, elarsen, jbarclay, Laura81 and everyone else who joined this week.
There were 73 new posts this week and 359 comments.
Every week we have so much variety in the posts being shared on the Online Network. Here are some good ones you might have missed:
- One of our new members Paulinek shared this post - Recurrence results
- KristyE was not sure which way to go with her post - Yikes! AC or TCH chemo?
- wenno05 has asked the question - To stop the hormones
We welcome to BCNA our new Active and Well Program Manager - Sarah and a little shout-out to brenda5 who has been posting daily updates of her Chemo treatment - Thank you for sharing your experiences each day with us.
I wanted to share with the Online Network that Coffs Harbour Breast Cancer Buddies (previously known as Breast Cancer Survivors) will be celebrating 20 Years of supporting people affected by breast cancer. Congratulations to Deh one of BCNA's Community Liaisons and the team in Coffs Harbour.
BCNA's Local Service Directory is place where you can search for services and support in your area. We have just included Otisfoundation to the directory.
BCNA News & Events
- Did you know we have an information forum coming up? It's on in NSW and it's free to attend. Find out more about the Orange Information Forum
- BCNA Secondary Breast Cancer Telephone Support program - Due to the initial positive response to the program, the program will continue in 2016 and is open to people in all states and territories. If you know someone who may be interested in the program, please let them know that they can contact BCNA on 1800 500 258 to register.
- Upcoming resources - Sleep and breast cancer - BCNA is currently developing a resource to help women who suffer disrupted sleep after their breast cancer diagnosis. The resource will cover issues including common causes of sleep difficulties, practical tips women can try to help them sleep better, and when to seek professional help.
I am looking forward to getting outdoors this weekend and spending some time with the family. What have you got planned for the weekend? Whatever it is, I hope it's a good one x
